Andy makes sure everyone is heard and hears, he stays out of the way of the group, offering his thoughts after the group has spoken, Andy keeps the group on task, he reinforces the rules, and is kind and empathetic in every way.
Andy Spencer is a successful businessman who found his calling as a mentor and coach to others. In this way, he serves annually at the Bonn Bible Seminary and has encouraged many. His heart beats for people, students and pastors who feel alone in their calling. What fascinates me personally about him is that he not only writes his own books, but also lives what he teaches.
Being a part of The Engedi Group makes the difficult parts of the CEO job a little more manageable. It makes you realize that the companies you’re leading may be miles apart in products or service, but that the day-to-day issues or even the once-in-a-decade issues are common, and that someone has been there before you and can help lead you through it. The advice is priceless, and the feeling that you’re not alone is invaluable. Many a time, I’ve come away from our CEO meetings feeling lighter. It’s the knowing that these people have my back. Andy Spencer does a great job of balancing the role of therapist, facilitator and accountability coach. I leave each session with a better direction of where I want to go and what I need to do to get there.
