Renewal and Encouragement For Pastors
The Take 5 Retreat is a three-day getaway for small groups of pastors to come together for a time a renewal and encouragement.
The location is either at Spencer's Pointe on Lake LBJ (west of Austin, Texas), or Spencer's Hilltop Ranch, near the northeast Texas town of Gilmer. There is no cost for pastors to attend.
The “Take 5” concept is pretty simple. Each pastor is asked to bring one idea, tip or technique for each of the following areas of his life:
1. Love for the Lord
2. Love for your wife
3. Love for your children
4. Love for your church
5. Love for people outside your church
We ask each pastor to share his idea in a roundtable format at the conference. The intent is that each will come with one idea and go home with dozens of ideas. Besides the roundtable discussions, there is plenty of time for recreation, and lots of great food!
